How To Use Visualization To Manifest Your Most Ambitious Goals

One thing that never fails to amaze me is the power of visualization. Visualization is often the starting point to manifesting your biggest goals in life.

Whenever a wildly successful person is interviewed and asked about their success with the question “is this something you could have predicted?”

They always surprisingly answer with utmost confidence - “Yes. I visualized this before it happened”.

It is one of the most powerful tools you’ll ever come across, and it truly has the potential to change the trajectory of your life, once you learn how to master it.

Today I am going to teach you how to use visualization to flesh out your goals - just as the most successful people do, have done, and continue to do!

This is a true game-changer.

What is Visualization:

Visualization literally is a tool for manifesting your dreams into reality.

You can have someone who comes from absolutely nothing (being dirt-poor, in scarcity all around) - all of a sudden, rise to becoming wildly successful with an amazing life full of abundance.

People like Conor McGregor who went from being just an amateur fighter on welfare in Ireland, to making $100,000,000 in a single fight in Las Vegas, in a matter of a few years – Conor is also a well-known practiser of visualization and has attributed much of his success to it.

Jim Carrey - a former janitor and unknown actor struggling to get by, who in the early 1990s wrote himself a check for $10,000,000 dated 1994 , way before he had achieved any real success – actually earned that same amount in 1994 for his acting services – something he visualized relentlessly when times were tough.

The list goes on and on.

How is this possible? How can such a powerful transition be made?

Visualization is the first and essential step in making that transition. It quite literally unlocks your belief systems.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not the only step, you still need to put in the work of course - but before any meaningful work can be done, visualization must unlock your belief systems.

You must shatter those limiting beliefs, and you must recognize that your potential is far bigger than you think.

You must see it, before you can actually do it.

The Role Visualization Plays In Your Belief Systems:

If you’ve ever thought something was out of your reach – you probably didn’t even try to go out and get it, you just accepted and assumed you weren’t getting it.

In turn – you didn’t get it.

However, if you’ve ever recognized that something is possible, you truly believe that it is within your reach, and you wanted it bad enough– then you’ve probably found a way to go out and get it.

In turn – you got it.

Your mindset and belief system is the difference.

History has proven this time and time again – with some of the best books of all time (Think & Grow Rich, The Secret, The Science of Getting Rich) they all recognize that the first and most essential ingredient in achieving anything (no matter how big of a goal it is) is belief.

If you don’t believe in yourself, you won’t be able to take enough action, stay disciplined to your roadmap long enough to see things through.

Visualization is a powerful tool for unlocking that belief system, actually showing you how possible your biggest goals really are, and then having your actions naturally unfold to attract them.

The Waterfall Effect – How actions, behaviours, and results derive from belief systems:

Your belief systems and your sub-conscious mind dictate what you achieve, and what you don’t achieve.

Your actions, behaviour, and results always derive directly from your belief systems.

Example – a visualizer

You say what the heck, and set a goal for yourself of making an extra $50,000/year through a side-hustle. Your belief may not be so strong at first but you visualize this relentlessly – you see all the obstacles you will have to overcome, you also see the quick wins and successes leading up to that point.

You truly start to believe that you can make an extra $50,000/year through building an online store, so your behaviour and actions fall in line with that – you start immersing yourself in e-commerce, learning from experts, building your brand, and taking action.

Those actions compound over time, and soon enough you start to see results, eventually actually making that extra $50,000/year.

What started as a thought with not much belief behind it, eventually grows into a powerful belief through visualization, and then ultimately into becomes a reality through action.

Example – a non-visualizer (99% of people with their dreams)

You see making an extra $50,000/year through an online store as out of your reach or ‘too hard’ so in turn, you don’t believe in yourself and never set that as your goal or focus.

Since you don’t believe its possible and neglect growing that you belief, you never take action. Without taking action, of course you never see any results.

It's that simple.

This happens all the time – we always limit ourselves and see things as being out of our reach or ‘too hard’; when in fact, anything really is achievable – including goals related to your health, wealth, love or happiness.

The Keys To Visualization:

So let's jump into visualization.

There are a few fundamental keys you must recognize to do it properly:

(1) Know that it doesn’t matter where you are now, its all about where you want to go

  • Most people get hung up on the fact of where they are now and they think that just because they are in a tough position now, that there is a limit to their ceiling – that is BS. The sooner you breakthrough that limiting belief, the easier things will be.

  • You need to understand that, it doesn’t matter where you are now, its all about knowing where you want to go, and what that destination will look and feel like.

(2) Open your mind to what’s possible (realize that anything is attainable if you focus on it)

  • Second thing you need to realize is that anything is attainable. You can be anything you want, and have anything you want. Open your mind to these possibilities and realize they are all attainable if you put your mind towards it.

  • Most people let their limiting beliefs conquer them. They think being a millionaire is out of their reach, they think having the body they want is unattainable, and they think having the relationships they want is a pipe-dream – its all BS. Those are all possible and within your grasp. The first step is believing!

(3) Understand the law of attraction

  • Lastly you need to understand the law of attraction and the true power of your sub-conscious mind. The law of attraction is the ability to attract into your life whatever you focus in on.

  • If you focus in on negativity, you attract negativity. If you focus in on positivity, you attract positivity. Focus on money, you attract money. The list goes on and on. Our sub-conscious mind works wonders – we truly underestimate its power.

How To Visualize:

There are three core components to being able to visualize properly.

1. Set Vivid Goals:

The first thing you need is vivid goals. Take your goals, and truly flesh them out.

Make them as detailed and as vivid as you possibly can, so that if you were to close your eyes and imagine that you achieved that objective, you’d be able to describe how it would feel, look, taste, and smell like to be there.

Identify not only what it would look like when you achieve that goal, but also identify the potential challenges/obstacles you’re going to have to overcome on your path to that goal.

This is huge and will begin the sub-conscious process of making that achievement possible by finding solutions to those obstacles!

2. Repetition of Positive Affirmations:

The second thing you need to set up is positive affirmations; these are statements you can write down beginning with ‘I am..” or “I will..” then finish the sentence with things you want and desire, relating to your goal.

Write these down and keep them close by to you.

Repetition is key, so make a habit of reading these affirmations each day (in the morning and at night).

3. Visualization Time:

Lastly, you need the visualization time itself. This is where you will combine your vivid goals, with the positive affirmations, in a meditation setting.

Set aside 10-15 minutes as if you were to meditate, with no distractions or disturbances, in peace and quiet.

Sit down, get into meditation form, close your eyes, and start to truly visualize your vivid goals and the pathway you must take to get there.

  • See yourself in that Ferrari. Feel the texture of the seat on your back, feel the texture of the steering wheel on your hands, and feel the power behind the engine when you hit the gas pedal.

  • See yourself overcoming challenges and reaching breakthroughs with your side-hustle.

  • See yourself getting that job offer, and vividly flesh out those feelings.

Vividly put yourself in your desired position when you’ve achieved that goal, and feel all your senses in that moment.

Keep doing this for the duration of the time you set aside till the alarm goes off.

This is the powerful experience of visualization. When used correctly and with repetition (key) your belief systems will start to unlock and you will begin to fall into position to achieve what you set out to achieve.

What To Do After Visualizing:

So you’ve visualized, what’s next?

Immediately after you finish, you must recognize that what you just experienced - is yours for the taking.

That large goal, that Ferrari, that job offer, whatever dream you have – is absolutely attainable.

Use it as motivation – you’ve seen it, felt it, and recognized it is within your grasp.

Now it's time for you to get after it and make it happen.
